Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

Account information: your name, email address, phone number, and password (stored as a hash — we never see the password itself).

Workspace content: the deals, properties, documents, contacts, bookkeeping entries, and other records you and your teammates put into your workspace, plus your company profile.

Usage and device information: logs generated by operating the service — IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps — used for security and to keep the service reliable.

2. How we use it

To run AcreTally: authenticate you, store and display your workspace to the people its owner authorizes, send the emails the service depends on (verification, invites, notifications you turn on), bill paid plans, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not use your workspace content for advertising.

3. Who processes it for us

We use a small set of infrastructure providers to run the service: cloud hosting for the application, a managed database and authentication service where your data lives, and a transactional email service that delivers the emails described above. Each processes your data only on our instructions and only to provide their service to us.

We do not share your data with anyone else except when you direct us to, or when the law requires it.

4. Cookies and sessions

AcreTally uses cookies to keep you signed in and to remember basic preferences. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

5. Retention and deletion

We keep your data for as long as your workspace is active. If you delete a record, it is removed from your workspace; residual copies in backups age out on the backup schedule. If you delete your account or your workspace is closed, we delete the associated data within a reasonable period, except where we must keep it to meet legal obligations.

6. Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access to production systems is restricted, and every workspace's data is isolated so members of one company can never read another's. No system is perfectly secure — if we learn of a breach that affects you, we will tell you promptly.

7. Your choices

You can view and update your account details in the app, export your workspace content, and delete your account. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights — such as access, correction, portability, or erasure — and we honor requests to exercise them. Write to us and we will respond.

8. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a material way we will notify you before the change takes effect, by email or an in-app notice.
